Gas Absorption System for Tail Gas Treatment
B&W MEGTEC offers a variety of solutions for the treatment of industrial process gas streams, like tail gas, which removes acid gases such as SO2, SO3, HCl and HF.
Acid Gas Absorbers/Wet Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD)
B&W MEGTEC offers a range of gas absorption systems including open spray towers, tray towers, packed towers and Turbotak atomizing spray scrubbers to control SO2, HCl, CIO2, Cl2 and other gas emissions.
For gas streams containing acid gas and particulate, the Turbotak wet scrubber, which uses Turbotak atomizing nozzles, controls these contaminants in one system with minimal pressure drop, lower water usage and less maintenance than other systems.
Up to 99% SO2 removal can be achieved with B&W MEGTEC wet flue gas desulphurization (FGD) systems.
TurboSorb Semi-Dry Scrubber
By spraying calcium, potassium and sodium-based slurries or solutions, TurboSorb can achieve high acid gas removal efficiencies. And, unlike "wet" systems, with TurboSorb, all water is evaporated so there is no liquid waste stream generated.
Dry Sorbent Injection
B&W offers dry sorbent injection (DSI) technology to control SO2 emissions. DSI reagent options include trona, sodium bicarbonate and hydrated lime. This technology can be applied to indistrial and waste-to-energy applications to mitigate acid gases such as HCl, HF and SO2/H2SO4 and SOx.
Spray Dryer Absorbers
B&W MEGTEC Turbosorb spray dryer absorbers (SDA) reduce SO2, SO3, HCl and HF acid gases by the injection of alkali-based slurries, most commonly calcium based lime slurry. The systems provide a high removal rate with the benefit of no wastewater treatment necessary.
Wet Scrubbers/Acid Gas Absorbers
B&W MEGTEC's gas absorption systems include open spray towers, tray towers, packed towers and atomizing spray scrubbers for the control of SOx, HCl, ClO2 Cl2 and other gas emissions. For gas streams containing acid gas and particulate the Turbotak wet scrubber with atomizing nozzles, controls these contaminants in one system with minimal pressure drop, lower water usage and low maintenance.
