VOC Oxidation Systems
MEGTEC installs more industrial oxidation systems annually than any other supplier in the world. Its systems meet the demands of the toughest VOC (volatile organic compound) or HAP (hazardous air pollutants) regulations. MEGTEC’s range of technologies includes direct or recuperative thermal, recuperative catalytic systems, and is the world leader in providing ultra energy-efficient regenerative thermal oxidation (RTO) and RCO systems.

Energy Management & Recovery
MEGTEC is leading a revived emphasis on thermal air management to save energy. Secondary heat recovery systems can dramatically reduce operating costs for many processes. These systems include air-to-air process heating, steam production through waste heat boilers, and make-up air systems. A compact new Process Heat Recovery System uses clean heated air from the process or oxidizer and returns it for use as supplemental building heat, or return to the process, for new and existing lines.

Methane Control & Energy Production
MEGTEC can control methane emissions from diverse sources — landfills, mechanical biological treatment plants, bio-fuel plants and coal mines. In addition, the control of these emissions can generate valuable energy savings and carbon credits. Unique MEGTEC technology now provides an efficient solution to reduce low concentration VAM (ventilation air methane) emissions. A flameless VOCSIDIZER® oxidation system converts methane and recovers the energy as superheated steam for turbine generation of electricity.

Biological VOC Abatement
MEGTEC Bioreactor and Bioscrubber products use naturally occurring microbes as a cost-effective method to abate VOCs and odors for a wide range of solvents used in different industries. The microbes used in MEGTEC Biosystems consume VOCs as a carbon source for cell growth and reproduction — the output is carbon dioxide, water and energy. These systems produce low CO2 emissions without secondary contaminants such as Nox or SOx, and have low operating and maintenance costs because they operate at ambient temperatures and require minimum energy.

Solvent Recovery
MEGTEC’s vapor-phase Carbon Adsorption Systems purify, separate and recover up to 99% of solvent emissions for re-use to reduce costs by virtually eliminating solvent expense, while exceeding regulatory requirements.

Applications for this technology include gravure printing, coating, chemical and pharmaceutical production and other industries.

Solvent Distillation
MEGTEC offers complete azeotropic and multi-component distillation systems to separate and purify liquid solvent mixtures. MEGTEC distillation systems are a preferred choice in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and other industries to recover, recycle and reuse solvents. Applications in biodiesel and other alternative fuel markets include methanol scrubbing and recovery, biodiesel solvent purification, and crude glycerine purification.

Environmental Services
Lifetime services include VOC air compliance assistance, testing, monitoring and reporting; catalyst testing and supply including bead and monolith retrofits to any catalytic oxidizer; and in-house laboratory analysis.
