MEGTEC can provide infrared scans of equipment and switch gears as an integral part of your preventive maintenance program. The scans can be performed on a yearly basis to identify any degradation in equipment. For best results from the scans, a base line should be taken of the equipment within the first year of operation so future scans can be reference against the original base line record.

The same procedure is used for fan vibration analysis.

For IR imaging to be repeatable, MEGTEC uses maps to record when and where the photos are taken so that the future photos and scans are all taken with the same ambient conditions. These maps are included with the comprehensive customer reports package supplied after the visit.
