Silicone Coater

The MEGTEC Silicone Coater combines precise and automatic functionality with ease-of-use to give offset, newspaper and gravure printers a cost-effective means of applying silicone to control static electricity and eliminate marking by downstream finishing equipment.

Silicone application is computer controlled and automatically synchronized with the press speed, which ensures consistent coating. If press speed falls below the engage speed, or stops due to a shutdown or web break, the silicone application rollers automatically move away from the web to prevent web saturation. The applicator rollers can also be programmed independently of each other. This makes it possible to apply a different amount of silicone to each side of the web.

The pneumatic roller/tray engagement system delivers smooth and reliable operation. And the high-contrast LCD display and membrane keys make for easy operation.
