Web Guide

The MEGTEC Web Guide will meet the most demanding needs of any printer. A web guide is a compact, state-of-the-art digital controller with an automatic makeready feature that makes it easy to program the exact position of the web before press startup. Once the press is in motion, the MEGTEC Web Guide automatically calculates the web width and then moves the web into the programmed position.

The user-friendly Operator Control System can communicate with up to 10 web guides. This eliminates the need for multiple control stations on the press and allows the operator to set up all the web guides from a single location.

One of the most accurate web guides available, the MEGTEC Web Guide features a sensor transport that allows center or edge guiding. The transport bar is equipped with infrared light sensors that have electrostatic discharge protection and are not affected by ambient light, making them ideal for most web guiding applications. Other sensor types are available to meet specific needs of various press applications.

The MEGTEC Web Guide system handles web widths up to 80 inches (2032 mm) and features a modular design that can be stacked with multiple web guides and silicone coater modules.
